Origins & Character

A resort shaped by grain fields and evening lanterns

The concept for Lantern Grain began with the atmosphere of a cultivated landscape after sunset. During the day, fields and pathways feel ordered and practical. At night, pools of warm light turn the same landscape into something intimate and social.

The entrance opens into Lantern Hall, a carefully divided space using charred timber, pale stone and warm metal to create smaller zones. From there, guests can reach the casino, dining promenade, theatre, wellness level and guest lifts without crossing unnecessary congestion.

The casino floor is divided into districts using ceiling form, floor pattern, furniture and lighting rather than barriers. This makes it easier to identify social tables, quieter electronic gaming, premium areas and service points on a first visit.

The agricultural references are contemporary rather than rustic. Fine lines suggest grain rows, lantern frames and millwork, while materials remain polished: dark timber, stone, brushed metal, olive textiles and ribbed glass.

Casino Floor

Classic games, clear limits and a warm evening atmosphere

The main floor offers European roulette, blackjack, baccarat and selected poker-style games. Blackjack minimums typically begin at €10 during quieter periods, with €15 and €25 levels more common during busy evenings.

Approximately 425 gaming positions include classic reels, video slots, multi-denomination games and electronic roulette terminals. Machines are arranged in curved groups with comfortable spacing and clear circulation.

The Lantern Salon is an invitation-led private area with four table games, dedicated hosting and a compact dining menu. Access depends on capacity, identification checks and hosting policies.

Selected afternoons may include introductory demonstrations using non-cash chips. These explain etiquette, probabilities and house advantage rather than promising systems.

Dining

Restaurants inspired by grain, fire and seasonal cooking

Lantern Table is the formal restaurant, centred on live fire, regional produce and restrained presentation. A typical menu might include smoked trout, roasted vegetables, lamb, dry-aged beef and a warm apple dessert.

Mill House offers a more relaxed menu with polished service. The kitchen may serve steak tartare, grilled vegetables, roast chicken, lamb cutlets and a rib steak for two.

Grain Room serves breakfast through late evening. Morning service includes bakery, eggs, fruit, yoghurt and coffee. Later, the menu shifts to salads, pasta, grilled fish, sandwiches and a substantial burger.

Amber Bar overlooks the central hall and specialises in cocktails, alcohol-free aperitifs and small plates. The signature Field Light combines rye, pear and bitters.

Entertainment

Live performance in an intimate lantern-lit theatre

Lantern Theatre seats approximately 870 guests and uses curved balconies to bring the audience closer to the stage. Acoustic materials are integrated behind charred timber and textured wall panels.

The programme may include touring bands, vocal performances, contemporary dance, comedy and short-run productions. Weekend evenings tend to carry the largest shows.

Doors generally open forty-five minutes before showtime. Age guidance, recording rules, running times and accessibility information are confirmed for each event.

The adjoining Grain Room hosts smaller acoustic sets, spoken-word performances and late-night sessions before and after the main show.

Wellness

A calmer rhythm beyond the public floors

The Fieldstone Spa uses warm stone, natural textures and muted lighting to create a restorative environment. Treatments may include massage, facial therapies and shorter recovery sessions.

A compact thermal circuit includes a warm pool, dry sauna, steam room, experience shower and quiet loungers. Guests are encouraged to hydrate and take breaks.

The courtyard garden is designed for reading, conversation and rest rather than loud poolside activity. Loungers are allocated according to capacity.

Selected mornings may include guided stretching or low-impact mobility sessions. These are optional and are not a substitute for individual medical advice.

Private Events

Gatherings with a warm, cultivated sense of place

The Granary Hall can be configured for seated dinners, receptions, presentations or small performances. Adjustable lighting allows the room to change mood without disguising its architecture.

Hosted itineraries may combine accommodation, private dining, theatre seats, spa appointments and supervised casino introductions. Gaming participation is always optional.

Seasonal courtyard dinners may be arranged when weather and operating conditions permit. An indoor alternative is recommended for every outdoor event.

Organisers are encouraged to discuss mobility, sensory, dietary and communication requirements early so that suitable routes, seating and menu information can be confirmed.

The Lantern Walk

A signature evening route through gardens, lounges and quiet courtyards

The Lantern Walk gives the resort a recognisable rhythm after sunset, linking the public rooms through a sequence of softer spaces rather than a single corridor.

Garden thresholds

Between the main hall, dining rooms and theatre, planted courtyards provide short pauses in the evening. Low lanterns, textured paving and sheltered benches help guests reset between busier spaces. The gardens are designed for conversation and orientation rather than as decorative leftovers. Routes remain clearly marked, and step-free alternatives follow the same visual sequence wherever practical.

Late lounge service

Selected lounges remain open after the theatre programme and formal restaurants begin to close. Service focuses on tea, coffee, alcohol-free drinks, digestifs and a concise late menu. The atmosphere is intentionally quieter than the casino floor, giving guests a place to continue a conversation or finish the evening without returning directly to their suite.

Seasonal details

The route changes subtly through the year. Autumn may bring deeper foliage, warm grain arrangements and spiced drinks, while spring introduces lighter planting and brighter aperitifs. These changes are designed to refresh the guest experience without altering the resort’s central identity or relying on temporary novelty.

Respectful nighttime operation

Lighting, music and service levels are managed to protect nearby bedrooms and quieter guest areas. Staff monitor circulation, assist with directions and address disruptive conduct when necessary. The objective is not silence, but a well-balanced evening in which social energy and private rest can exist within the same property.

“Lantern Grain is designed around warmth, rhythm and arrival: a vivid evening guided by light, then a private room that feels completely still.”
